Brightbridge Search is delighted to have supported SudoCyber and its investors, Foresight Group, with the appointment of Andrew Anderson as Chairman.

Based in Brecon, SudoCyber is a specialist cyber security training business working across defence, national security, policing, education and industry. Founded by Armed Forces veterans Jason Davies, Marc Del-Valle and John Davies, the business has developed a growing reputation for practical, real-world cyber training.

SudoCyber secured a £1m equity investment from the British Business Bank's Investment Fund for Wales, managed by Foresight Group. The investment was Foresight's first from the fund into Mid Wales and was made to support the development of SudoCyber's platform, strengthen its team and accelerate its growth in the UK and internationally.

As the business entered its next stage of development, Brightbridge was asked to identify a Chairman capable of working closely with both the founders and Foresight.

The search called for someone who combined experience of building and scaling technology businesses with an understanding of institutional investment, alongside genuine credibility in cyber security, defence and national security.

Andrew Anderson brought an unusually strong combination of all three.

A technology entrepreneur and former CEO, Andrew has spent more than 30 years building and scaling B2B technology businesses, completing four exits, five acquisitions and nine funding rounds. More recently, he has focused on chairing investor-backed growth companies, helping founders and management teams navigate the transition from entrepreneurial growth to greater commercial and organisational scale.

His sector experience was particularly compelling. Andrew has chaired Talion, the cyber security business originally spun out of BAE Systems, and currently chairs CyberHive, a secure communications technology business focused on defence and national security.

Just as importantly, Andrew has sat on both sides of the boardroom table. Having built businesses as a founder and CEO himself, he understands the realities of leading an entrepreneurial company while also bringing the independence, governance experience and commercial discipline required in an institutional investment environment.

His appointment brings together SudoCyber's entrepreneurial and technical expertise, Foresight's investment and growth ambitions, and Andrew's experience of scaling investor-backed technology businesses.

Brightbridge is delighted to have played a part in bringing Andrew, SudoCyber and Foresight together and we look forward to following the next stage of the company's growth.
