Brightbridge Search appoints Iain O’Kane as Chair of VS Group

Brightbridge Search is delighted to have supported VS Group and Foresight Group with the appointment of Iain O’Kane as Chair, following Foresight’s investment in the business.

Founded in 2012 and based in Lancashire and Manchester, VS Group provides IT and cyber security services to businesses and charities. The investment is the first from Foresight’s third dedicated North West SME fund and coincides with VS Group’s acquisition of Liverpool-based IT managed services provider The PC Support Group.

The appointment of an experienced independent Chair forms part of the next stage of VS Group’s development, as founders Kevin Penman and Jason Savion work with Foresight to scale the business.

Iain brings significant experience from across the IT services sector. Most recently, he was CEO of Xperience Group, where he led the growth of the IT, cyber security and business applications provider to £25 million in revenue before the business secured investment from Bowmark Capital. He remained CEO until May 2024 and continues to support Xperience in a non-executive capacity.

His experience of building an IT services business, working with private equity and supporting growth through both organic development and acquisition makes him highly relevant to VS Group as it enters its next phase.
